National Hispanic Basketball Classic Golf Tournament

Tommy Nuñez Charity Golf Tournament was founded in 1999. The primary goal is to raise money to help defray expenses of youth academic and athletic activities for economically disadvantaged and high risk youth. The golf has never been the focus of the tournament. It has been a fun event for those that are pretty good golfers and those of us that aren’t. All funds raised are directed towards scholarships and youth activities. Unlike the basketball tournament, the golf event is open everyone. It has served to bring together many of the leaders in the ever-growing Hispanic community in the spirit of fellowship and sportsmanship.

The entry fee for the golf tournament is $100 per player. The fee includes golf round, range balls, cart and lunch. It is a 4-person scramble format and there are many prizes to be won as well as many auction items to be bought. Local car dealerships have donated cars for the hole-in-one contests. We also have the standard long drive, longest putt and closest to the pin on every par three.
